I am starting a new blog

I have been more of a compulsive blog reader than a good blogger. There are too many blogs that I read in a day full of interesting information and misinformation but mostly amusing posts penned by skillful and noob bloggers alike. A lot of times I had a strong urge to blog about something but had to refrain because I had a firm opinion in my mind that this blog will have posts only about me (how rude I am :p ). I wanted this blog to be more like my diary which I could read about interesting memories of my life (if any :lol: ) whenever I want. But nowadays I’m more attracted to blogging and want to blog about a lot of interesting things but I also decided to uphold the opinion in my mind about this blog to be a personal one. So I will be starting a new blog where I will be posting stuff which will probably have nothing to do with my personal life.

After a long gap which was very hectic filled with lots of assessments, project reviews, class hours, extra classes, appointments with the doctor, numerous trips to ritchie street, and general goofing around, finally I got something to put in my blog. I got this as a mail from Chumma Yahoo Groups. Hope this is a good read.

An interesting reflection : Slow Down Culture

It’s been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple and brilliant. It’s a rule.

Globalize processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results. Therefore, we have come to posses a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold x quantity of meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end, this always yields better results.
