Playing with the toddlers !!!

At some point of time in their life everyone would have enjoyed playing with small kids and babies. Theres nothing like having a few toddlers around your neighbourhood its pure fun everyday.

When i was in my previous house (in pudupet near chindadripet…. now i’m put up in mylapore) there were 3 small kids near my house - Keerthana (keerthu), Abinayaa (abi) and Immanuel Arasan. Of them Immanuel was very small jus barely able to walk. All he can du other than that is to smile and make some funny sounds. But the others Abi and keerthu were able to talk a bit.

I did my ninth and tenth when i was in that house. It was just two years but a memorable one, especially the summer holidays of the ninth std. I, my sister and a few friends would be playing with these kids the whole day. There were so many funny conversations as these kids speak a language of their own.

some of those memories……….

One fine sunday morning keerthu walked into my house. She was yawning.
Keerthu: anna anna…
Me: ennadi
Keerthu: anna kukkiniyaaa…..
Me: ennathu ???%!
Keerthu: naa kuikka pooraen
(then after sum time i understood that wat she meant to ask was ‘kulichitiyaa’)

these kids will keep on asking a lot of questions……
mmm thats the way the brain develops i would say to myself.

When i was studying for a socialstudies exam,
Keerthu: athu ennathu ? (pointing to my textbook)
Me: ‘Book’… sollu.. ‘Book’…
Keerthu: Book….
Me: good girl…. seri poi thoongu.. anna padikkanum
Keerthu: padikarathuna enna anna ??
Me: %#@%@ (wish i could answer…… i blabbered something and she went)

One day she was having a small piece of green colour chalk with her and guess wat ??? she was eating it….
Me: yei…. chalk ellam saapdakoodathu… bad girl… poi kuppa thottiyila podu..
Keerthu: itha enga poda ?

I showed her the dustbin in my house and asked her to put it in that. She did that and went away. After a while i went to keerthu’s house where everyone were playing. Her parents were busy watching TV and the grinder was running. I watched the grinder for sometime because the colour of the flour was peculiar. It had a light green tint. I told that to her mother. She said that she also noticed that but she thought that was the effect of watching TV for a long time. Then only we found out that Keerthu had put her remaining chalk pieces in the grinder thinking that it was the dustbin. I told everyone wat had happened a few hours ago then we all burst out into laughter. Keerthu also laughed along with us without knowing wat has happened.
